What is the RDOS?
The Regional District of the Okanagan-Similkameen is a large area in the southern interior of British Columbia, Canada. The RDOS is centred on Penticton and includes several other municipalities, such as Summerland, Princeton, Oliver, and Osoyoos. Regional districts provide local government services for rural areas in British Columbia and also provide a mechanism for cooperation between neighboring municipalities. See the main RDOS website for more information.
What is Area F
Area F is one of the rural areas in the RDOS. The area consists of the following neighborhoods: Red Wing Resorts, the West Bench, Westwood Properties, Husula Highlands, Sage Mesa, Faulder, Meadow Valley and North Beach. Although the northwest portion of the Penticton Indian Reserve is within Area F, First Nations land in Area F (including Red Wing) is administered by the Penticton Indian Band.
