As much as I'd like to see it included as part of a linear park, after reading all the material provided, the PIB appears to have every right to take back land that was aliented from the original reserve. Perhaps a land swap could be considered with land adjacent to the reserve being swapped for the linear KVR bed.
The railbed appears to be owned currently by CP/Marathon Realty with a legal interest by PIB. It would be good to get these two groups together to ask if repairs to dangerous sections would be possible. There are two "sink holes" where people and bicycles could easiy tumble in along the well-used section between the second and third bridges. Has there been any discussion of this? I'd volunteer to get a crew together to fill it in the holes with gravel, just to make it safe.
