Update 3 Jun 2010: Thanks to all the residents who attended last night's meeting. In my view, the questions and comments from the audience were excellent—informed, respectful, relevant. The materials presented by the PIB are available from the comment link below. The Penticton Indian Band (PIB) is hosting a public information session on the return of the KVR lands to reserve status on June 2nd at 7 PM at the West Bench Elementary School gym (click on the image on the left to view the full flyer). Representatives from the PIB and Indian and Northern Affairs Canada (INAC) will be in attendance to answer your questions about the federal Addition to Reserve policy and its impact on non-native lands bordering the former KVR rail right-of-way. For more information please contact the Penticton Indian Band (http://www.pib.ca/ or 250-493-0048) or the RDOS (info@rdos.bc.ca or 250-492-0237).
