Received a letter form the Operations Manager, Rick Wright, from AIM Roads.

As of May 1, 2019 AIM Roads has commenced the road maintenance contract for Service Area 08 (SA08). Service Area 08 includes Kelowna,  West Kelowna, Peachland, Summerland, Penticton, Princeton, Keremeos and the Osoyoos area.

As your Ministry of Transportation approved highways maintenance contractor, we are looking forward to ensuring that maintenance is performed smoothly throughout this area. Safety for the travelling public and quality of service are the top priorities of AIM Roads. As our dedicated team live and work in Service Area 08, we have a vested interest in maintaining the roads.

As you are no doubt aware that on Friday, April 12, the new Penticton Regional Hospital was officially opened. It is a beautiful facility and one that we should all be very proud of. It was fantastic to see Mr. Kempe there, an amazing and very generous local philanthropist and community leader. Also on hand was Grandma Grace! One of our favourite memories of West Bench Elementary is Grandma Grace hugs and blessings; it was so lovely to see her again. Let me say, her humour and tell-it-like-it-is is just as I remember. She makes me smile. She makes me think.
